How to view the TDS deducted by your employers, bank etc?

How to view consolidated Tax Credit Statement for the year?


You no longer need to wait for the 16A statement to arrive from your Bank, Employer etc.

A consolidated Tax Credit statement for the year is available at:

2 ways to view:

a) Most easy way : Use your  Net Banking Id/Password given by your bank.
Login to your net banking account.

Demo shown for people who use Axis Bank accounts:

Login to your iConnect. Click on Tax Credit, under "My Accounts"

Select the Assesment Year. And you are ready to see your Tax Credit Statement.


b) Register your PAN card on the site:


You will have to get your PAN verified by visiting a Tax Information Network(TIN) facilitation center.

For in person visit to TIN-FC for authorization select option 'No'. Charges payable will be Rs. 15.00 plus applicable tax.

For TIN-FC official visit at your office / residence for authorization select option 'Yes'.Charges payable will be Rs.100.00 plus applicable tax.


Create username/password.

No. You are eligible for the premiums paid for:

1. Yourself
2. Spouse
3. Children.


A HUF can pay premiums for its members and claim deduction for the same.

1. If you were using, your own banks ATM:
eg. Using Axis Bank card at Axis Banks' ATM

Fill out a form for the same, mentioning the date, time, amount and the ATM used. You should get a refund within 48 hours maximum.



2. If you were using other Banks ATM:
eg. Using Axis Bank Card at ICICI Bank.

Go to the bank where you have your account(in this case, Axis Bank)
Fill out a form mentioning the date, time, amount and the ATM used. You should get a refund within 7 days. 

If it takes more than 7 days, you are eligible to get Rs. 100 per day as a penalty for the delay by the bank in refunding the amount.
Ask your bank to adhere to this guideline issued by the RBI and they would be prompt in acting.

Do keep the transaction slip that is dispensed by the ATM in all cases.
